Catching Fireflies: Concept Album
Starting as a quarantine project in 2020, “Catching Fireflies” is Flynn’s passion project folk musical that centers on a writer coming to terms with his gender identity amidst his queer friend group of artists stuck together in Philadelphia over the 2020 pandemic. The show has had several workshops & staged readings, including a three-weekend Off-Broadway run. This concept album from 2022 captures the full unabridged score, produced with Lorien Sound & featuring an all star cast.
San Francisco Daydream (Concept Album 2020)
“San Francisco Daydream” is Flynn’s first completed piece as a theater composer. The song cycle, recorded in various studios & basement in Philadelphia in 2020, captures the bittersweet transition of leaving home and your first love, the back and forth of long distance, and the fear of growing up. Sung by Flynn’s classmates from his short time at University of the Arts, its a time capsule of his beginnings as an artist.
